CLINICAL SUPERVISION

If you've ventured onto this page, it likely means that you've passed your LMSW licensure exam and are ready to take on the next step in your career journey. If you're feeling overwhelmed or daunted, you're not alone. I remember being terrified to start supervision- so many self-doubts and unknowns! Thankfully I discovered that supervision was a safe place to become educated, grow as a person and professional, and meet others who are still my colleagues to this day.

My goal is to pay it forward to others who are looking for the same experience I was, and to help grow the community with competent and confident clinical social workers who want to help change the lives of others for the better.
Clinical Supervision
I am an LCSW in the state of Texas as well as a board-approved supervisor. The relationship between supervisor and supervisee is incredibly important and it requires trust, open communication, respect, competency and boundaries. I am dedicated to ensuring that my supervisees are fully equipped to complete supervision with mastery of therapeutic modalities and interventions (including DBT, CBT, CPT, Motivational Interviewing, and more) as well as mastery of diagnostics according to the DSM-V TR.
I also provide extensive education on ethics, ethical dilemmas, cultural competency, and real-world clinical experiences you may face. I will provide ample resources for passing your LCSW as well as education and resources for beginning private practice! I bring over 10 years of experience as a social worker into my supervision and help you achieve your goal of being licensed at the clinical level in the state of Texas.

Supervision is a minimum of a 24-month commitment with a maximum of 48 months to accrue your supervision hours.
​
You must meet with your supervisor for 100 total hours in no less than 24 months, and it cannot take longer than 48 months to complete supervision. During this time, you must be employed and work at least 30 hours per week to be eligible to complete the supervision process in, or close to, 24 months. You must also be employed in a position that meets the board's regulations.

In accordance with Texas State Board requirements supervisees with an approved plan for full-time work must participate in no fewer than four (4) hours of supervision each calendar month AND no fewer than two (2) supervisory sessions each calendar month.

Does my Current Employment meet the Requirements?
​
You're asking the right questions! According to the board, if you assess, diagnose, and treat mental health or substance abuse issues using current DSM-5-TR criteria for at least four hours per week, you are eligible for LCSW supervision. This includes employment where you are utilizing diagnostic tools such as the Brief Interview for Mental Status (BIMS), Becks Depression Inventory (BDI), PHQ-9, GAD 7, Mini-Mental Status Exam or other. These jobs are plentiful in hospice, home health, hospitals, inpatient/outpatient mental health facilities, dialysis, private practice, for military and first responders, the VA, military bases, CPS and more.
When and Where?

I conduct my supervision via Zoom to offer supervision to any LMSW licensed in Texas, and I have openings beginning July 1, 2025, for two Saturdays a month from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Logging and Tracking Hours

We will both be required to log and track your supervision hours, per the board. I will track your hours through my own software, but you may use any method to track your own hours. ​If you need help with this, I have examples and templates that I am happy to share with you!

Supervision Rates
​
Providing affordable and accessible LCSW supervision in Texas is personal to me as I was blessed in finding a supervisor who provided this to myself and many others. Supervision is valuable, but the cost shouldn't deter a person from achieving their dreams!

Group sessions: $50.00 per hour

Individual sessions at your request: $50.00 per hour
